Hey Kevin! Good talking to you on the phone the other day!

Folks, Kevin is putting together the "Extreme Leather Workshop" (look on the calendar for more details) in Beautiful Asheville NC this Spring. This is an event for the family, not just the leatherworker. If you can make this trip and these classes, you will not be wasting your time. Support this event and let those top-notch instructors know you want more more more in the Eastern US.

Make sure you sign up for the free newsletter on the hidestoart site, too!

Hello Johanna,

Good talking to you also. I have been looking at the stats on the website and some interesting countries are looking at us. Class registration is going well and even with the worries of the economy people know that this is a must attend. As for some of the instructors, this is the first time they have ever crossed the Mississippi River.

I will call you and let you know what transpired after we spoke. If you get a chance call me on the cell if I can’t reach you.

As for teaching my classes on Monday nights in Asheville I am averaging 11 steady students. The 4-H leaders seem to be the most dedicated to learning. I have to take my hat off to them for learning. For every leader I can help I am actually helping 20 kids with the art.

Rdb,

Steve and I will be going to Zack White’s to discuss teaching a class there for the people in that part of the state. As of now I am planning the trip there on Oct 18th. Maybe we can meet you there? If there is any group in that area you can think of that needs help please let us know and we will see what we can do.

Kevin

I'll put the 18th on my calendar. Let me know what time.

There's a few on this board from the carolinas, maybe they'll see this and be able to jump in.

There are no guilds in this neck of the woods, that I know of. There are a lot of reenactor groups, etc, but I haven't hooked up with them yet. Tim at Zacks probably knows them and how to get in touch. There is a Tandy in Raleigh you might consider approaching.

rdb,

Tim is who we are going to see about doing a class or two there for him. Billy B. and I are friends and he is sending people our way. As a note Billy is going to do the kids classes during the workshop. I will let you know when we are going to be at Zack Whites.
