Members Lee05 Posted March 4, 2014 Members Report Posted March 4, 2014 Here are a few more skins I'm clearing out, see below for details... Matte finished Vintage Kustom American alligator in hand tipped brown - 34cm grade IV/V -- $240 Although it's a grade IV/V there are no holes. The skin has a hand tipped finish and was done as a custom run for George Cleverly shoe company in the UK. I also purchased a serpentine grey version and it's been great for making card cases. As you can see in the picture it has a bit of a shine almost like a glazed skin, but it is a matte finish with a antique finish added by the tannery. Burnt pink American Alligator tail (the darker pink on the right side of the picture) Grade 2/3 -- $45 Shipping via USPS First class/ or priority is free. Will ship only CONUS, thanks! Jason
Members Fat Dog Leather Posted March 4, 2014 Members Report Posted March 4, 2014 Jason, your leather goods are beautiful ......great attention to detail! Would you share what edge finishing product(s) you are using on your gator and the chrome leather as well? Thanks very much. Fdl.
Members Lee05 Posted March 4, 2014 Author Members Report Posted March 4, 2014 Thanks for the compliment, I use Angelus edge paint for all my gator edge work or chrome leathers. I either get it from fineleatherworking or http://www.turtlefeathers.net/text/angelus/paint.html . As far as how I do finishing it's similar to the method in this link..http://www.watchesbysjx.com/2012/08/how-to-hand-making-watch-strap.html. Thanks! Jason

I'm adding one more vintage custom skin in serpentine grey, size 26 cm wide skin, a small portion of the belly has been used. See below for pics, discounted to $120. I've also included a picture of a card case made using vintage serpentine grey, works great for small leather goods! PM with any questions!

Members Lee05 Posted July 30, 2014 Author Members Report Posted July 30, 2014 Serpentine Grey skin is SOLD! Vintage Brown is still available at $200 shipped USPS Priority CONUS
Members Lee05 Posted August 4, 2014 Author Members Report Posted August 4, 2014 Below I've attached three more pictures of the Vintage Brown Skin with a couple of other pieces for color comparison. The first picture shows the vintage brown next to a special cognac card case and the next shows it next to a clutch purse to be in light pink. The picture including the pink gator skin captures more of the true brown color tone, some of the others show it as more orange than it is because of camera settings. Really trying to clean out some stuff so... FINAL price drop on the Vintage Custom - $170 SHIPPED CONUS
Members EricIsaiah Posted August 4, 2014 Members Report Posted August 4, 2014 That pink skin, though... Gimme!
Members Lee05 Posted August 5, 2014 Author Members Report Posted August 5, 2014 Vintage custom is on HOLD. The pink cut out will certainly eventually make an interesting clutch purse! :-) I'll be sure to post pics when it's finally complete.
Members lobomiguel Posted September 8, 2014 Members Report Posted September 8, 2014 Is the Vintage brown still available? I am definitely interested! Thanks.
