Members Hazen Alward Posted March 18, 2014 Members Report Posted March 18, 2014 Is there anyone out there still using a singer 17-41? I have a chance to get one set up and ready to go with a table for a really good price. I currently sew some oil tanned bison, and 4-6oz veg tan for cell phone cases, and some portfolios. It seems like this machine was made for what I am doing, and it would make it easier to save up for a 441 clone if I could sew a bit faster. Not to mention easier to make the mortgage. Any feedback or information on this machine would be much appreciated. Quote
Moderator Wizcrafts Posted March 18, 2014 Moderator Report Posted March 18, 2014 This machine has been discussed on LWN in a past topic, here. In it, the capacities were found to be about 1/4 inch of leather, using #69 thread, or #92 maximum. Quote
