I need some advise..... I'm using a piece of stingray as a inlay in a notebook. When I start sewing it, the thread breaks after about three stitches. I am using 138 thread. What's the best way to sew it.

I just went through that with 138 too, ended up using the machine to punch the holes and then hand stitched.
