Members KCcreations Posted March 28, 2014 Members Report Posted March 28, 2014 I have started making hair on cowhide purses and bags. I have used my Bernina sewing machine up to this point to make them and it works but if I am going to be making more (and I hope I get lots of orders) I am considering getting a sewing machine specifically designed for sewing this kind of leather. I also do machine embroidery on them with my commercial embroidery machine. Does anyone have any suggestions about a good basic brand and model of sewing machine that would work for this kind of leather sewing. Thanks Quote

Members Fat Dog Leather Posted June 3, 2014 Members Report Posted June 3, 2014 Those are great bags.....really like that they are lined. Try Cobra machines....Steve is VERY informed and can send you in the right direction. I own one and it is a great work horse and use it for sewing heavy leather. It sews a great top stitch and does a beautiful consistent job. Good luck! Quote
