Members Seaphoenix Posted April 24, 2014 Members Report Posted April 24, 2014 Hello! I'm new to the forum, and pretty new to working with leather as well. I'm in the US Navy, and recently was stationed in Yokosuka, Japan. I know I found a leather supply store down in Fukuoka, but I've been told the market is pretty decent over here. Problem is trying to find these places when I don't speak much Japanese. Anyone familiar with shops in the Yokosuka/Yokohama/Tokyo region? Or know the names of some places to search for? Any help would be greatly appreciated! I want to be able to continue my leather-work! ~Rebecca Quote
Members DavidL Posted April 24, 2014 Members Report Posted April 24, 2014 Tochigi is one that is found on leathercrafttools.com. I know that siewa, craftsha and a few others have stores in japan if you ask around I'm sure they know some suppliers. If your really in need leathercraftool ship's out of japan but is expensive. King's X Posted April 24, 2014 Report Posted April 24, 2014 Try these places. Lefty's leathercraft http://www.shop-cram.com/ I can check on a contact in Toyko to see what other suppliers are available to you. I know she in associated with a leather craft museum in Toyko that might help. Facebook is also a good reference. Sam Quote
Members Glendon Posted April 25, 2014 Members Report Posted April 25, 2014 (edited) Try www.goodsjapan.jp as well. They mainly sell Japanese brand tools to us fellow gaijin back home, but I bet they can help you find the local retailers. Edited April 25, 2014 by Glendon Quote

They have web site. 2) Here is in Yokomaha but they selling Only web site..... kawazairyo.com There the many supplier in Tokyo. Especially, they around Asakusabashi area Quote
Members misha01 Posted April 28, 2014 Members Report Posted April 28, 2014 I don't know about the Tokyo area, but look for stores called Kyoshin Elle or Tokyu Hands. They are all over Japan. goodsjapan.jp was mentioned above, but I wouldn't bother with them if you are already in Japan. Their prices are marked up from the store price, so if you are near the source you are better off buying there. If you are out of country and want something, then they are good. Quote
Members Seaphoenix Posted April 28, 2014 Author Members Report Posted April 28, 2014 Thanks so much! Those are all a huge help, and I've also found a little store local to me. Going to give it a shot today and see what it's like. Quote
