Horseshoe Report post Posted May 1, 2014 paprhangr I use good ole Kiwi shoe polish to finish my leather work. I use neutral for anything with color other than black and use black on the black. After I apply the shoe polish I buff with a brush then polish it with a soft cloth, I use old flannel sheet rags. Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Horseshoe Report post Posted May 1, 2014 It protects it from rain if the owner continues to apply the polish. I've found that no matter what finish I use the finish will come off over time while the the owner rides the bike. i have also used mink oil on both sides of the leather to help protect from rain then applied shoe polish on the outside finished piece.
