Members bjalongi Posted May 9, 2014 Members Report Posted May 9, 2014 Just wondering what size strap end punches some of you use when cutting the swell cover for nailing back under the hand hole. I've read some books that say 1/2" and others that say 3/4". And, 5/8 is right in between. What to you think looks most balanced with a brass escusion (spelling) pin? Quote
Members CWR Posted May 12, 2014 Members Report Posted May 12, 2014 I use 3/4 at he front and 1/2 at the back in the hand hole. CW Quote
Members oltoot Posted May 13, 2014 Members Report Posted May 13, 2014 Depends on the thickness of ground seat and general contour of the handhole, etc. When in doubt, use the smaller and skive down around it. You can always cut out a little more but it's a whole lot harder to put some back Quote
