artisan1 Report post Posted May 19, 2014 Hi everyone, first post for me still, preferable to the last post ! Anyhow, to the question. I have received a box of parts which, when completed, will be a 29k15 "patcher" I have been informed that all the pieces are present right down to the small tapered pin that secures the shuttle carrier. Now to the problem, I have no Idea what I am doing with this particular model as I am used to the 29k58's and 71's and have some experience stripping down those models and refurbishing. What I need is a user/adjusting guide preferably with exploded diagrams. I have searched the internet to no avail, seems like they are rarer than ducks teeth! Can anyone help me with this quest, I am prepared to pay for the right manual if necessary. I will probably need to replace a few parts especialy those three wretched little cogs in the rack as when the are re-seated they fail to mesh cleanly, this is probably due to teeth wearing in a particular sequence when in place originally but now, in my hand being growled at I know Simanco parts are not available but can any one suggest a place that I might get a good set of pattern parts, My last attempt was for a needle bar for a 29k 71 and it turned up without the top being finished at all, no hole for pin not even the groove for the cotton, (chinese pattern part alas) I am in England by the way and there are limited places here to get parts from, Im hoping the good 'ol U S of A will help I look forward to all comments/suggestions especially those that say " what, are you mad, get rid of it and stop being silly" but I have a soft spot for vintage things and enjoy restoring them back to their former glory, best regards, Robert
