I like reading these replies very much. The ten strand whip makers plaits come in different varieties. Under 2, Over 3, Under 3, Over 3, and so on. But all of them remain a round braid. I braided mine with and under 2, over 3 sequence. Reason being is that I have found that the way the under 2 rolls in on itself at the bottom of the braid tends to fold in leaving the outside of the braid(Over3) with chance to fan out and bend much easier, or more naturally. It is also a quick braid once started. So I'm spending less time doing a braid. Now I have experimented with this type of braid and tweaked it on several occasions to reach a desired effect for draping around a neck line more naturally. It's a simple braid of Under 2, Over 3. I think this might be in several books. But I am uncertain of that. You might be able to find it in a few of Ron Edwards books. But again I am uncertain of that. You spend less time doing the actual braid than you do the knots. LOL... Brian... That's real pretty!
