Brewtopia Report post Posted May 26, 2014 Greetings all, My name is Shawn and I just wanted to introduce myself. I am new to leatherworking other than some playing around with an old Tandy Kit (5500 I believe) when I was a kid. I anticipate mostly lurking and learning from you guys, but will ask the occaisional question as it arises. My main interest so far seems to be the Sheridan style and Celtic style but seem to appreciate it all. I have begun purchasing a few basic patterns, books, and tools to get started and have been practicing the basics on the little 3" discs. At least I'll have coaster sets to give out at Christmas. Once I feel more comfortable with the basic skills I am learning, I will most likely move on to the basic kit projects available and then on to the good stuff. In the spirit of Memorial Day, I would include that I am a former Marine ('89-'93). I would like to Thank all that are serving, all that have served, and all their families for their devotion, service, and support of our country. I don't often trust the leadership we send to Washington, but I will always believe and trust those that have served in the trenches; for that is where the true strength and spirit of our country resides. I look forward to learning what you all have to share.
