I tried a couple of new things today. First was to apply snake skin, and secondly to use the two-tone lacing.

The hide had a very pretty contrasting tan and brown coloration, so I decided to use this for the basis of the project.

This was my first time to lace with two colors.

I used the contrasting colors in the two pockets and lining.

lookin good so far. I like the lacing. We killed a copper head in the yard the other day, my first thought was to tan that puppies skin but then the thought of all that nastiness crept into my brain and we burried it. ( had to kill the snake, he was hanging around the kids play area )

Thanks for the compliment. I understand completely about protecting the kids. I've got four running around the house myself.
