sweeneygallgael Report post Posted June 27, 2014 (edited) Hello everyone I'm new and have posted this topic in the wrong forum already so I apologize if you already seen it My grandfather gave me this machine recently. He didn't know much about and called it a shoe makers machine It's missing a bobbin and/or a shuttle and the needle is broken. Other than that it's pretty much complete. It doesn't look like the #6 and arms and parts have 2s followed by 2 or 3 digits embossed on them. Can anyone help identify it and maybe let me know where I might try to get the missing parts. Thanks Connor Edited June 27, 2014 by sweeneygallgael
daviD A Morris Report post Posted June 28, 2014 (edited) member Singermania here on this forum is your man to help. I think he knows more about these old BUSM machines than anyone else on the planet. He also has parts and is getting some parts made. BTW my pearson #6 has the identical stand as your machine regards dam Edited June 28, 2014 by daviD A Morris
Singermania Report post Posted August 5, 2014 Hi, sorry have been off the air for a while.... doin a little camping. Sorry not to have answered earlier. Machine looks like a number two or four with bottom drive, if the drive does not go up and down but just back and forward then it is made for wide panels rather thank saddlery. Dave, I've got hold of a Union Lockstitch, so along with you and Trevor Scott and maybe a couple of others we form a fairly small Aussie group. I hear you have cut lose from the saddlery school, trust it was a good experience and hope you can help others again soon. Best Regards Steve
