Fire Shields..feedback Wanted.

Haven't posted in years.. Hope all are well.. Honest feedback would be appreciated.

I've never made any of these, so my feedback is of little worth, but I think they both look nice. I can't see the edges well, and there might be some roughness there, but otherwise, they look great.

As always, any comments are based on a computer picture and not being able to hold the real item. That said . ..

I wonder if you made the red outline a little more pronounced whether it might make the shield "pop" more. The white background makes it a little hard for my old eyes to see the total effect. Or perhaps trying an edge treatment?

These shields are very nice - whoever receives them will be very happy to have them.

They look great. They'll look really good once they get a little smoke on them! Is it a single piece of leather? What kind of paint did you use? Keep up the good work!

Thanks, yeah those were gifts that weren't being put in service. It is a single piece about a 1/4 inch. I use acrylic paint with a sheen finish..I want to try out angelus soon.
