Members sharkeyfinn Posted August 14, 2014 Members Report Posted August 14, 2014 hi everyone, im just about to get my hands on a spindle electric motor ,with the idea of using it to mount a polishing wheel and an edge slicker(not at the same time ;-) ) do i need to use a polishing compound on the wheel if so whats the recommended compound or will friction alone buff up my leather work? thanks guys ;-) Quote
Members craftsman827 Posted August 15, 2014 Members Report Posted August 15, 2014 (edited) For edge slicking, "gum tragacanth" can be used. Also saliva can also be used, works great, but can be messy. As for polishing dyed veg tanned leather, there are many choices. leather balm with atom wax. carnubba cream, I use both by feibings company. Feibings has a good booklet about all there products.
