terrymac Posted August 16, 2014 Report Posted August 16, 2014 I have a 8" Heritage splitter. According to the "book" what is the ideal placement of the blade edge in relation to the roller? Should it be top dead center of the roller or slightly forward or behind the center of the roller? Thanks for the help! Terry Quote
Members J Hayes Posted August 17, 2014 Members Report Posted August 17, 2014 I have mine set just slightly behind. You got a book with yours? Quote
Moderator bruce johnson Posted August 17, 2014 Moderator Report Posted August 17, 2014 I am with J Hayes. I like my blades just slightly behind the dead center top on most all splitters. Some people like them centered. If the edge is the least bit in front of the dead center top then the leather wants to slide under the blade and not bite. Quote
terrymac Posted August 17, 2014 Author Report Posted August 17, 2014 Thanks guys, that is what I was looking for. No, I don't have a book for the splitter. Thanks again, Terry Quote
