robb01 Report post Posted August 31, 2014 So I started leather working because I fell in love with Saddleback leather products and wanted to try my hand at making my own pieces. I love their tobacco brown and dark coffee brown color and am looking for something similiar. I think that the stoned oil leather at Tandy is pretty similar, but don't have a store near me to check it out. billybopp Report post Posted August 31, 2014 Some suppliers are happy to send out small samples so that you can have a look at them, sometimes free and other times for a small fee. If you want to buy a large enough sample to try something with, Springfield Leather is willing to sell in smaller quantities for some of their leathers. http://springfieldleather.com/ There may be other vendors willing to do this as well.
