Mallets And Mauls

These are the mauls and mallets I use and made They are Delrin, wood table leg handles and leather handles the Black and cordovan mallets are my latest additions they all have SS acorn nuts and 1/2'' all thread shaft running through the length the weights go from heavy to light LOL! as always any and all comments welcomed

I didn't put any weight in them other than the acorn top cap they are fine for me and that is what suits me!

Those look great and I really dig the square face mallets. Where did you find the delrin? I've looked online but haven't been able to find a good source.

I have found the "bounce" to be just right for me but then I have never used anything but my hand made delrin mauls and now mallets..well I forget myself in comparison to rawhide mallets I can say I prefer the delrin any day of the week. the rawhide mallets I have are old osbourne mallets and very very rarely see any of my Gomph-Hackbarth tools or any of my cheap tools for that fact..They aren't balanced like my mauls and mallets........

Thank you for the information. One last question. Did you bore it your self? How easy is it to drill, for example, can I do it without a press?

A press is recommended to get a good straight hole but yes a hand drill will do in a pinch pilot hole an a good sharp bit. And get after it!
