Members rbtmshl Posted December 14, 2014 Members Report Posted December 14, 2014 Hello, I recently received some of the round briefcase locks from Abbey England, and I was wondering what you guys use to attach these locks to your leather. I've seen a couple of folks on these boards use these same locks, but I'm having a hard time finding hardware with a thin enough post that is also long enough to fit through the front plate of the lock, 8-10 oz of leather, and the back plate of the lock. Let me know what has worked for you! Thanks! Quote
Members WyomingSlick Posted December 14, 2014 Members Report Posted December 14, 2014 What you are looking for are long thin brass pins commonly called Escutcheon Pins They are used just like a rivet; the end is cut off and peened over the back plate I should think that your lock source would also have sold them Quote (John 8:32) And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. (KJV) And the truth is that religion is nothing more than the lame attempt by largely ignorant people to bring sense and order to a world that was beyond their comprehension. Once you see religion for the delusional and superstitious artifact it is............... you will be free !
