Members freedragonfly Posted February 21, 2015 Members Report Posted February 21, 2015 I learn something EVERY TIME I am on this page. I appreciate all your work, advice and photos of your work. I want to redo my seat, and want to use.....vinyl. I APOLOGIZE. I would actually like to use that and leather together, is that possible. Is there a place you can send me to in shame to find out if it isn't here? I am just not finding the correct search words to find what I dream. Thank you in advance. Quote

There is nothing wrong with using vinyl for motorcycle seats, some of the most famous names in seat building do just that. Yes, you can use vinyl and leather together in seat construction --- I have made several seats that have a leather top, and vinyl sides. If you are covering a cruiser style seat, that is actually the best construction method. The leather top adds breathability to the part you actually sit on, and the vinyl sides add flexibility, and less seat maintenance. Quote
Members Spartan Posted February 24, 2015 Members Report Posted February 24, 2015 Take a look at sailright. They have a vinyl that is, I gues the word is stetchy.... Is really easy to work with and form to the seat. Quote
