Members Rawhide Posted November 16, 2008 Members Report Posted November 16, 2008 (edited) Do yall dye and then sew or sew and then dye. I have heard both ways of doing it. When handsewing that is. I dye, buff off the residue, cut the sewing grooves, then sew. Otherwise, you'll dye the thread and it won't dye evenly. If you're using black thread, it probably doesn't matter, but I like the white thread. Marlon Edited November 16, 2008 by Rawhide Quote
Contributing Member TwinOaks Posted November 16, 2008 Contributing Member Report Posted November 16, 2008 When do I dye? Usually about an hour before the customer calls and asks about another color. No, really, I've done it both ways, and the getting everything dyed first makes it a lot easier to get the dye even. Quote
