For example: wallet.In the place of contact of the skin (diuring closing) dye erased.I used a lot of kind finishing.1)pro oil dye - fiebings, neatsfoot, tan kote.2)pro oil dye - fiebings, neatsfoot, Acrylic Resolene 3)pro oil dye - fiebings, neatsfoot, Acrylic Resolene + PALC ( balm to leather in Poland, generally used to handmade )4)pro oil dye - fiebings, neatsfoot, beeswax, PALCI always have the same problem.What am I doing wrong ??Ps; Sorry for may english. but I,m learning every day Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Eccho Report post Posted March 20, 2015 Hello Mateusz. I think your problem is not enough dye. You have to use enough dye to really penetrate into the leather. Let each coat dry one day, buff and dye again, let dry one day (24hours ). Two coats should do it, but be sure to let it dry completely before putting on the finish. I like Resolene, but if you want to be able to put additives into the leather, leather balm is fine. Hope this helps, and I am sure there are more opinions. mateusz Report post Posted March 20, 2015 (edited) thnaks for advice! i never dyed 2xI always wait 24h and used a lot of dye. Dye penetrates all leather. From face to the flesh.I might add that the best is pro oil dye - fiebings, neatsfoot, beeswax, PALC. I see very little seizing.
