kaerkes Report post Posted May 9, 2015 Salud to everyone! I start this thread asking for your leathercraft stalls/kiosks to sell your works in markets or streets. I think i have a lot to improve in this particular issue and I think it would be very interesting to see how we organice our stuff for selling. I start sharing our little stall on an indoor handcraft market in a small village of my area.
taintedelephant Report post Posted May 12, 2015 Is that step structure provided by the people who run the show? I don't like that kind of setup. but if that is a limitation you are given, you have done quite well.

Grey Drakkon Report post Posted May 12, 2015 I was going to say, I like how it displays the artwork, but that's a thief's dream. Tons of tiny items close to the edge of the table, and all of those items are hidden behind solid wood? Score! The levels wouldn't be so bad if they were clear, or just the sides and top with no vision-blocking front. If you're stuck with it though, some small details would make it look a lot more tidy, like that piece of paper is kind of flopped in the middle there. It would look nicer if it was the same height as the shelf and would take up less space that way. Or, print it so you would fold it in half and the top half rests on the upper shelf and the bottom half dangles down. Most of your pieces are a nice shade of dark brown, which unfortunately doesn't make them stand out against the wood. Draping a piece of lighter colored fabric would make those browns pop out. If an entire sheet is too much for you, then runners would work great.
taintedelephant Report post Posted May 13, 2015 As far as theft goes, you could hang your barrettes from a strap with a series of holes running down both sides. That is how I display them in my work space, It works well on a wall, I'll take a picture if I get a chance. You could hang your key fobs in a similar way to your earnings. taintedelephant Report post Posted May 13, 2015 So this is what I was talking about. I want to stretch the straps inside of a frame, but I haven't gotten around to it yet.
kaerkes Report post Posted May 13, 2015 thank you both of you for your comments! i aprreciate each idea/advice. greydrakkon: we make turns between the artisans too keep an eye on the possible thieves, we place ourselves in the middle of the room(outside of the kiosks) so the certain risk you comment are more or less controled. about the info paper you are more than right, we will follow your advice! about the color contrast we will try to choose another kiosk for this season. taintedelephant: very nice ideas again, the keyrings will look really nice with these setup! Grey Drakkon Report post Posted May 13, 2015 Kaerkes, that's very smart of you to team up like that. The reason I brought up thieves in the first place is that I knew one, and nobody would have known it to look at him. He was a kindly grandpa, but he had sticky fingers! So nobody would give him a second look and he got away with stealing something pretty much every time he was let out of the house.
kaerkes Report post Posted May 15, 2015 kjiasjiasjias! appearence usually lies! you just have to look all those respetable old man wearing impeccable suits... who could think they are not just thieves, but serial killers too. (i am speaking about politicians).
