Members conversano Posted June 9, 2015 Members Report Posted June 9, 2015 Hi I found an old piece of veg tan leather I want to make a bridle of. The leather is a bit dry, so it need some oil or leatherbalm (wax?) to make it soft again so it don't get cracks. I want to dye the leather, and I wonder if I sould dye it firstm and then add oil or leatherbalm, or if it is bether to oil the leather first and then do the coulouring... (hope my english is good enough...) Quote
Members Red Cent Posted July 1, 2015 Members Report Posted July 1, 2015 I apologize for not answering sooner. Use Neat Foot's Oil or Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Both are used quite a bit by the membership. This touted to be very good. I have not used the product. http://shop.fiebing.com/c/leather-boot-care_leather-care_aussie-leather-conditioner Quote https://www.facebook.com/redcentcustomleather?ref=bookmarks http://www.redcentcustomleather.com/
