Well I have tried my hand at a fox fur sporran. The head I had a friend do the taxidermy on. Let me know what you think.

LOL...

When we adjust the chain, it rides quite a bit higher than "between the thighs." in fact, most people I know adjust it to be about one hands-width below the kilt belt [which is at the waistline].

And that ^^ sporran is called a "full mask" which is typically worn at very formal functions.

Looks good. It will be a little too heavy with a head on the front. ;)
