Members DuncanSinclair Posted July 23, 2015 Members Report Posted July 23, 2015 I have a couple of dyes (about a qt each) that the original bottles broke on me. I transferred them into mason jars which was useful, but now the lids are starting to rust and leak. I was thinking of moving to something like Nalgene bottles, but not sure if that is the right direction to go.... I have a trip coming up and would like to take them along in something less breakable than glass. What do you do when this happens? Quote Chris Anderso,n KC9UVB Member -IILG Greenwood #514, F&AM
Trox Posted July 23, 2015 Report Posted July 23, 2015 Use plastic bottle/jar and top up with as less air in them as possible. I use rubber gloves over the lids to make the absolutely air tight. I have used the bags out of wine boxes for different finishes. Pry the spout out, rinse the bag and dump your new stuff in. I use it for my vigerroon. You just want to make sure it's done off gassing or you end up with a beach ball sort of thing. Quote

Members Oldtoolsniper Posted July 29, 2015 Members Report Posted July 29, 2015 I have not personally used these from lee Valley but I do buy a lot of their stuff and they are top notch as far as customer service goes. Quote
