Members Paladin51 Posted July 25, 2015 Members Report Posted July 25, 2015 My grandparents ran leather shop since mid 70's to mid 90's and had this machine. Was bought by my uncle who ran few years and I acquired it about 9 years ago. It has sat for last 13 years or so and am wanting to make knife sheaths and holsters. Will it do the job? Also is so dirty with caked on oil etc how be best to clean it up? Did these have a table with it? Quote
Moderator Wizcrafts Posted July 26, 2015 Moderator Report Posted July 26, 2015 This machine is a shoe and boot upper patcher, plus a patch installer for motorcycle vests and fixing purse straps and tabs. They use light thread and can only sew into between 1/4 to maybe 5/16" of leather. You can totally forget about making sheathes and holsters with it.
