Hemp Rope For Bag Handle Internals ?

Any reason Hemp Rope would not be a good choice for bag handle internals? Wasn't this the traditional choice? It's cheap and easy to source but will it set off bells at the airport? alternatives?

Yes, hemp is a traditional material. Why would hemp set anything off at an airport? It's not reefer. It's fiber from the stalk of the plant and contains exactly 0 parts THC.

Cotton is an alternative.

Round urethane weldable belting from McMaster-Carr is an alternative.
