Sealing A Sheath With Sno-Seal

Recommended Posts

I would appreciate any help you all can give.

I have a sheath that I intended to seal with sno-seal. It was wet formed from veg tan, dyed with fiebings dye and oiled with neatsfoot oil.

My question is should I apply resolene or supersheen if I am using Sno-seal?

This is a sheath for a very nice custom knife my niece's husband had made, but he plans on useing it daily around their farm, so I want it to hold up well.

If you "seal" it with risolene or sheen then the snow seal will not be able to soak in. For a basic sheath I would just put the snow seal on it. Actually, I would use Dr Jacksons, but snow seal is similar.
