Members usmc0341 Posted January 8, 2008 Members Report Posted January 8, 2008 I know there was a thread on this before, but I can't remember it. I'm looking for some clips for inside the pants holsters, but not the regular silver ones from Tandy. I'm looking for some tuckable or "J" hooks something like Galcos holsters. Anyone know where to find them? Thanks, Brian Quote
Randyc Posted January 8, 2008 Report Posted January 8, 2008 Brian, ohiotravelbag.com may have what your looking for. They do require that you have a federal tax ID to order from them. hope this helps. Randy Quote Randy Cooley Bulldog Custom Gun Leather www.bulldogleathercompany.com

Contributing Member BillB Posted January 8, 2008 Contributing Member Report Posted January 8, 2008 A Federal Tax Id is an Identification number that the IRS gives to business. It is one way for a company to know they are dealing with a company and not a private individual. This is important if they are in the wholesale business and not the retail business. If you are doing this as a business, then you should get with someone to understand the tax laws and how to separate you business income and expenses from your personal income and expenses. If you don't, then the IRS will tax all your income as personal. Quote Bill B. Nead
Members usmc0341 Posted January 8, 2008 Author Members Report Posted January 8, 2008 I'm not doing this as a business (now I don't feel as stupid for not knowing what that was), just a hobby. Anyone know where an individual can get the clips? Quote
Ambassador Beaverslayer Posted January 8, 2008 Ambassador Report Posted January 8, 2008 You can probably get someone like Beezachopper to help you out the next time they order. Ken Quote Beaverslayer Custom Leather<br />Wearable Works of Art https://www.facebook...erCustomLeather
Members Jimbus Posted January 9, 2008 Members Report Posted January 9, 2008 Again mostly knife stuff, but easily applied to any holster. http://www.knifekits.com/store/s-pages/kk_..._main.htm~smain Quote
Members usmc0341 Posted January 10, 2008 Author Members Report Posted January 10, 2008 That's pretty close to what I'm looking for, but I guess I get a picture in my head and I am a bit stubborn. I can picture what it is I want and I know they're out there. Thanks for the suggestions so far. Brian Quote
Billsotx Posted January 10, 2008 Report Posted January 10, 2008 (edited) I think he's looking for something like this. The only ones I've seen are made of kydex and are hand made by the individual. I haven't seen them from the commercial supplier. I haven't seen them out of stainless either, but that would be cool. Mortar man if this is the animal you're looking for, your best bet is probably get some kydex, a heat gun, tin-sips, drill, file and sandpaper and fab your own. I haven't seen them except as replacement from the guys that are using them on holsters and they want about eight bucks for one. I'd like to see them in stainless, which we could cover with leather - just because we can. Maybe the pix will jar someone's memory if it's what you're looking for. Semper Fi! Members usmc0341 Posted January 10, 2008 Author Members Report Posted January 10, 2008 That's it, that is the clip I'm looking for! I've done a tone of searches and can't find them anywhere. I don't see me going out and buying kydex and a heat gun and all the other stuff though cause I would have no idea where to begin to make them. I was hoping someone sold them. If anyone knows where to find one of these I'd be a happy mortarman! Thanks for the info Billsotx. Semper Fi! Quote
