A Big Hello From Alaska

Recommended Posts

Hello to all from the 49th..a not so cold one at the moment.

I am new at this craft. Have done native american style projects over several years..beading, sewing and such. Work with wood..carving etc.

I am grateful for this place, to learn and connect with folks.

I am a retired police officer. Am a lifer in Alaska. Going into different line of work, doing sewing on military base. Doing ballistic vests and other items.

Looking forward to connecting with others and learning. Happy and blessed new year to you all.

I left in 1986, only been back up twice since then. The last time was about 6 years ago. Anchorage had changed a lot, some parts of town were the same, others I had trouble finding the places I used to know. My grandparents lived in Homer, on the other side in Peterson Bay. That area was totally different.

Indeed, the change is quite a bit since then. Peterson Bay...Seldovia is more my speed and cup of joe compared to Los Anchorage.
