Ambassador freak Posted December 11, 2008 Ambassador Report Posted December 11, 2008 I'm pretty sure you're thinking of spirit dyes. Cause they are an alcohol base. I'm not to sure oil and alcohol will mix. Quote
Members Leerwerker Posted December 11, 2008 Members Report Posted December 11, 2008 Is it oil dyes that can be thinned with Rubbing Alcohol? Fiebing's Pro Oil Dyes can be thinned with rubbing alcohol. It is still a spirit based dye, made with better chemicals and with a little bit of oil added - so little you will not even notice it ... Hope this helps! Quote
Members HarryB Posted December 11, 2008 Members Report Posted December 11, 2008 Biggest problem is you notice the difference when you pay for it! Have tried the oil dyes and can't tell the difference in the oil dyes and Fiebing's spirit dyes that I add neatsfoot oil to. Quote
