nadasy Report post Posted January 21, 2016 I just joined today. I was searching for information on restoring my early stitching horse so I could repair some bridle parts for a customer. I did not feel comfortable sewing this particular item on my 23 yr old Brother walking foot. I make custom turnout blankets for horses, and repair and wash them. I've been doing this since 1987 when I could not find suitable turnouts to fit my large crossbreeds. I've done leather repairs for myself, but for liability reasons, did not do much for customers. Since I had my grandfathers stitching horse, I thought it was time, with all the rest I do, to press it into service. I have a studio in my home-live on a farm-that has now expanded to the sun porch for my collapsed barn wood and my woodworking tools, my jewelry bench in the dining room, and the rest of my tools and equipment - anvil, wall of hammers, torches, drill press, cutters, etc., and shared with my Brother sewing machine and all the materials for repairs. Good thing I live alone. That's about it. Nadasy

nadasy Report post Posted January 22, 2016 Hi Bob, I see you are on Etsy as well! You have some really nice items in your shop. I love your floral carving! I fixed my stitching horse yesterday with one of my old cross-country stirrup leathers. It worked a charm, and was able to work on a customers blanket this morning holding the binding to take it off and add new. Regards, Dinah
