Members keplerts Posted April 9, 2016 Members Report Posted April 9, 2016 I got a letter the other day from Weaver Leather stating their new wholesale policy. In order for me to continue receiving wholesale pricing I will be required to buy $1200 worth of product a year. If I don't I can purchase a membership (like Tandy's gold) for $200. They said it was to stay competitive. That doesn't strike me as competitive! How is it costing them money to keep me as a wholesale supply buyer?? I like Weaver Leather but I also like other suppliers as well. If I don't comply they said I could buy from their retail site. Have you seen their retail site prices? Double if not more than their wholesale pricing! I guess they have enough customers and, in fact would rather encourage us to shop else where. I'm just a small one man shop and do spent over $1200 a year on my supplies/tools. I just do it a multiple places because Weaver doesn't carry everything I need or always the quality of leather I prefer. What are others thoughts on this change? I know Weaver Leather has people on this site and wonder also what clairafication they can add. Thanks, Tom Quote
