Members porfido Posted June 14, 2016 Members Report Posted June 14, 2016 Hi all! First of all, please, forgive my bad english, but I'm writing from Italy... I wanted to ask you some advice: I used two times resolene (50% in distilled water) airbrushing it on two dog collars that I dyed with Fenice Waterstain Maybe is it the same as Tandy Waterstain? Anyway, after airbrushing Resolene in many light coats and letting it dry one or two days, lightly scratching the surface with my nail it comes away... The "semigloss" finish comes away very easily... Could it be the "waxy" effect of this waterstain to block resolene from penetrating and fixing? I really don't understand... Thank you for the answers! Quote
Members porfido Posted June 19, 2016 Author Members Report Posted June 19, 2016 It's really weird... Resolene peels off also on only oiled leather... I really can't understand... Quote
glamb Posted December 8, 2016 Report Posted December 8, 2016 1- make sure your air pressure is not too high 12-16 psi 2- are you letting your leather dry after your last application? I would bet you drying it out before hitting the leather with too high of air pressure. Quote
