Members BHPshooter Posted August 6, 2016 Members Report Posted August 6, 2016 Sometimes there aren't a lot of choices, so I will use whatever is available when the situation requires it... but if there is a mold offered by multiple makers, I almost always prefer the Blue Gun. There are exceptions sometimes -- For the Browning Hi Power, I like the ASP Red Gun better than the Blue Gun. I also really like Blackhawk's molds, but they only offer a whopping 4 models (they used to offer a few more). I avoid molds intended for Kydex holsters, except as a last resort. Quote

I'm constantly wondering why I didn't get the ones that are "holster prepped" with the sight channel already in and the port blocked out. I put one in my 12 ton press before it went in to my vacuum press and I bent it just a little. I might start looking at the aluminum one's for molds, I think they might have some that I have been asked to build for with the laser already molded in. Quote
