martine2005 Report post Posted August 14, 2016 i am sewing with a pfaff 335; treath nr 20 (european size) under and upper, no backtack used needle 120 pcl or s i have problems with the tension, on the bottom small knots are visible, when using two different colors it is very noticable. i tried already to lower the bottom tension and higher the upper tension, , problem is still there no matter how high or how low the bottom tention. leather is soft, but not thin, and there is a very light reinforcement used in between the two layers. thanks for any help Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
brmax Report post Posted August 14, 2016 Is there another larger needle that may help, or I would begin think the bobbin is wound to tight or dragging. I am curious if turning the bobbin over making it normally very free if this would have an effect you need so the knot can be pulled up center. I would watch them in order, because the bottom tension should always be set before the top tension. Bottom tension is key to a successful tension all around. I'm going to make videos about other issues and questions people have, so if you have anything you can think of that needs an explanation, let me know!
