raysouth Report post Posted August 28, 2016 Hello Folks, Came upon a few German Beer Steins that I have had for more than 50 years. Not leather related but thought someone might like to have them for a neat display. The "HB", is Humbser Brauerei and brought this back from a small town by the name of Gebersdorf, just outside Nurnberg. It is one of the older steins in the lot. It contains an inlaid picture of a Frau on the lid. Very nicely done. Another old stein is a hunters stein from a hunting club. It contains the following on the front: "SICHRE HAND DIE AUGEN OFFEN GUT GEZIELT IST HALB GETROFFEN" Very nice collectible stein. The plain stein is also from Gebersdorf, Germany. The remaining steins are those sold to visitors and are all very nice for a collection. Unfortunately, the "KOLN" stein has a handle that broke of and has been reattached with adhesive. Would require at least two, perhaps more, large priority boxes if you prefer that method or could be well packed in a single large box and shipped insured via Fed-Ex.
