fixing leather to a corset

HI

I tried searching but none of the threads seem to answer my question

I am making a Wonder Woman costume, I have made a boned calico corset and now need to glue the leather strips to the corset 

the glue will need to be a bit flexible as the corset needs to be laced and the wearer to be able to breathe

I am in the UK 

has anyone got any suggestions as I cant sew it as it will show and I have already put the steel boning in the corset

Is this leather to leather?  If so, either Barge's or Masters should work. Are you going to stitch the strips after the glue has dried, or does the glue bong need to "carry" the stress at the connection?  If not, then rubber cement will hold while you stitch, but it will not work for long term or stressed applications.

Is the leather going to be on top and bottom of the corset or going vertically along the boning?

Something like Evo-stick contact adhesive should do it. Follow the instructions and work in a well ventilated area.
