Members hooknhalliganleatherco Posted October 31, 2016 Members Report Posted October 31, 2016 Hello all, my name's Doug. Back in January I got into leatherwork. I'm a full time Firefighter/EMT and in February I started making fully tooled helmet shields for some guys at work and it turned into a nice side business. Looking forward to talking with ya'll and learning some new stuff. Here's a few pictures of what I've done so far. Quote
Members CaptQuirk Posted October 31, 2016 Members Report Posted October 31, 2016 Welcome! I enjoyed looking at your work, that is some nice tooling. Keep up the good work, and thanks for doing what you do... the first responder thing, not necessarily the leather stuff. Quote
bikermutt07 Posted October 31, 2016 Report Posted October 31, 2016 Yes, really nice tooling and man those colors are great. What paints are you using? Welcome to the forum. Quote I'm not paying 80 bucks for a belt!!! It's a strip of leather. How hard could it be? 4 years and 3 grand later.... I have a belt I can finally live with. Stitching is like gravy, it's only great if you make it every day. From Texas but in Bossier City, Louisiana.
Members hooknhalliganleatherco Posted October 31, 2016 Author Members Report Posted October 31, 2016 Thanks! I use the Angelus paints Quote
