Members Kelloggkid Posted December 8, 2016 Members Report Posted December 8, 2016 (edited) Can anyone help me with either of these 2 questions? 1. How is this beautiful antique golden honey color achieved? My efforts just can't seem to produce a consistent color that is this golden and my antiquing seems to discolor the light areas (see 1st pic). What technique and products are used? 2. Is there a geometric type stamping tool that is used for this diamond shaped tooling? Or is this all cut by the swivel knife, steeply beveled, & a dot added on every 'X'? (see pic of bottom knife sheath). Edited December 8, 2016 by Kelloggkid Quote
Members TonyRV2 Posted December 8, 2016 Members Report Posted December 8, 2016 I can't speak for the saddle, but the quilt pattern on the sheath is done with a swivel knife and a seeder, just as you'd suspected.
