Members BGleathers Posted December 8, 2016 Members Report Posted December 8, 2016 I have a pfaff 145 walking foot. When I try stitching my leather project my stitches seem to be slanted. I'm useing a #21 needle with 69 bonded pylester thread. I have tried different size thread same results. Any help would be appreciated. This is getting frustrating. Thanks . Members TinkerTailor Posted December 8, 2016 Members Report Posted December 8, 2016 In leather the type of needle point affects the shape of the hole and will effect the stitch formation. Members brmax Posted December 8, 2016 Members Report Posted December 8, 2016 Sometime back in the summer there were discussions on this, and it comes up for many materials being sewn. You may find a choice you like better, and add sometimes these shapes and angles give purpose as I also found in reading. That link above and some post on the site here have quite a few tips.
