Howdy, I just discovered this forum, and I'm pretty new to leatherwork. I'd like to thank those sharing information and contribute as I grow in this craft.

I was introduced to leatherwork through a good friend of mine, who does it as a hobby. Knowing I'm an artist, he encouraged me, and even gave me a few tools to get started. I tooled a couple of small things while hanging around his house, but my first actual project came when I needed a seat for my Harley custom.

Here's some pics of the seat, and the hand grips I made for the bike. I've been making things for friends and family, learning as I go, and trying to get better with every project.

Thank you, cjartist, much appreciated! I'll admit the seat was a bit of a fluke, although a happy one. I'll get to posting more of my work in the next few days. I do see a lot of my mistakes/ short comings as I move along, and I'm hoping to gain some constructive criticism and knowledge here. Each project I have took on has presented new challenges, and I like that. I belong to a few motorcycle forums and found these can be great places to share knowledge and help each other out. I made this moonshine coozie after the grips, and the wallet after that. Both are made from my own patterns/ designs, although the emblem on the wallet is from the Knights of Columbus, of which my step father (who the wallet was for) is a member.
