Members Mpreusse Posted January 19, 2017 Members Report Posted January 19, 2017 So I'm just curious if anyone has used a butcher block or cutting board conditioner for leather. I have two different products that are essentially the same. They have beeswax, carnauba wax, and mineral oil. The mineral oil is the only thing that scares me. I've searched and find varying answers about mineral oil. Thanks for any advice. Quote
Members brmax Posted January 19, 2017 Members Report Posted January 19, 2017 Im not sure on the long lasting effects of mineral oil, honestly! But to be specific a great name for sew machine oil is lily white: a mineral oil very refined and non detergent. And gives reason to use because of its non staining on textiles along with the machine aspects. I sure interested in the others input here, its a great question. Floyd Quote
Members cowboycolonel Posted January 19, 2017 Members Report Posted January 19, 2017 I use ONLY Skidmore's leather conditioner. There are other products out there, but this is consistent, fairly priced, and looks good. No short cuts! Quote
