Hercules js-555 info.

Hello everybody, my dad recently gave me a sewing machine. It is a hercules js-555. It looks pretty similar to the juki dl-555 machine based on pics I saw online but I haven't been able to find any specific info on it. Does anyone know anything about this machine or where I can find info or parts for it. Also if anyone knows what it would be good for leatherwise, if anything, that would help as well. Thanks in advance.

I would contact Bob at Toledo or Greg at Keystone and get some information and manuals on the Juki dl-555.  It would get you a starting point on the machine as to operations

and parts list.  It is obvious a clone of a Juki and judging from the color of the machine , an older one.  The Juki dl-555 was a high speed bottom feed machine used a lot in apparel production.

Hello,

I've been looking for an industrial sewing machine for many years.  However I would use it infrequently and not willing to pay top dollar.  A neighbor had a Hercules JS-555 with a FREE sign.  I grabbed it and had the same research issues as you.  I went online and compared the machine and parts to the Juki ddl-555 and they looked identical.  I never found any information on the Hercules. My machine was missing the bobbin case.  For a small price ($3.65) I purchased a bobbin case for a Juki DDL-5550 and it fit the Hercules perfectly.  Hopefully, if I need another part, I will get the same result.

It is possibly a Korean built version of the Juki 555

If you want to make mass produced clothing it is a great machine
