Can I use seiwa lacquer finish as a waterstain resist?

Recommended Posts

I'm a beginner in leathercraft and I'm planning on purchasing a set of waterstain a for my first project. Since I already bought a seiwa lacquer finish, I am wondering if I can use this as a substitute for supershene.

Thank you for your help!

minwax sells a water base polyurethane that works great as a finish and a resist.
