Members BlakeSmith Posted March 7, 2017 Members Report Posted March 7, 2017 So I have a Techsew 3650 HD that I haven't used in about 2 years because the feed dog leaves the ugly tracks on the underside of my work (I'm only using 5 oz. Leather) I was wondering if anyone has ever filled those grooves on the feed dog with epoxy or another sealant and whether or not that would still pull the leather through but without the gaudy tracks underneath? If not that, is there another way to avoid leaving the tracks? Quote
Members Thornton Posted March 7, 2017 Members Report Posted March 7, 2017 I would try some suede glued to the foot first. Quote
MADMAX22 Posted March 7, 2017 Report Posted March 7, 2017 Sounds like that is the blanket set feed dog, most of these things come with a smooth feed dog. You can file down the toothed one or fill it with something. I would probably use some silver solder or you could try the epoxy just make sure its clean first. The feed dogs shouldnt be too expensive but I have not priced them so cant say for sure. Quote

Expand Thanks, I've already filled it with epoxy so I'll see what happens in about 3 more hours Quote
