hwhleather Report post Posted March 24, 2017 In my experience with edge kote it has absolutely horrible rub off problems when it gets wet. I burnish my edges with saddle soap and dye with whatever color pro dye I am using. Yes if it is burnished it wont absorb the dye well so I use multiple coats. slipangle Report post Posted March 29, 2017 Being a solvent based paint, that sits on top of the leather, Edge Kote should stick to gum trag treated edge OK, as long as you don't overdo the gum.
