Members LeatherLori Posted April 19, 2017 Members Report Posted April 19, 2017 Question, I've seen many bags with fringe and the edge is braided or whip stitched all together. I'd like to know how this is done, so the fringe is facing front. I did a sample of how I think it's done but need your knowledge to be sure. So, I have the bags edge (if you will/sample) and glued the fringe in place "wrong side" to the back of the bag. I've braided all three together. The fringe is facing front and there are no unfinished edges - looks good....however, I'd like it to lay flater. A bit of wear and it will hang more relaxed...what's your opinion please & thank you so much in advance. Quote
Contributing Member Bob Blea Posted April 27, 2017 Contributing Member Report Posted April 27, 2017 I do a lot of edge braiding but I've never tried to incorporate fringe. I try to help though. Do you have any pictures of the look you want to achieve? Also, how did you attach the fringe in this picture? Quote
Members torirose Posted May 8, 2017 Members Report Posted May 8, 2017 Do you mean like this? https://leatherandvodka.com/collections/purses/products/traveler I'm really curious as well! The braided/fringe combo looks so fun! Quote
