Melonie Report post Posted June 26, 2017 I have a CB227r and the timing is just barely off so that my lower thread does not catch on the upper thread. It looks like it only needs to be rotated about 5-10 degrees to be fixed. I am wondering if there is an easier way to adjust the timing that doesn't require going too deep into the machine since the adjustment needs are so small. sandyt Report post Posted June 26, 2017 I don't know the machine, but could it also be the needle bar being to high? Don't have the settings to check it though. Needle bar and hook timing usualy isn't that hard. Make it your own at least for your machine and you never will regret spending the time to learn it. Sandy. Melonie Report post Posted June 26, 2017 Thanks, Sandy. How do you adjust the needle bar?
Uwe Report post Posted June 27, 2017 Page 9 of the Consew 227R-2 manual talks about how to adjust needle bar height on this class of machine. Compare your machine to these reference values before making any adjustments. It's best to remove the throat plate so you can see what's going on. sandyt Report post Posted June 27, 2017 There you go. Thanks Uwe. Download that manual. It's your and your machine's best friend. Sandy.
